The League of Women Voters of Brookline and The Brookline Neighborhood Alliance will hold a community forum with speakers from the Collins Center on Wednesday evening, Sept. 27 at Town Hall:
DOES BROOKLINE’S FORM OF GOVERNMENT NEED TO CHANGE?
Join the conversation!
Brookline’s Town government: How does it work? What works and what doesn’t? And how does it compare with other forms of municipal government? Recently, a campaign was launched to elect a Charter Commission that would study the possibility of changing Brookline’s form of government. In response, the LWV and the BNA are collaborating on a series of forums to educate and inform the community about the myriad issues involved in evaluating our current form of governance and possibilities for change.
Please join us for our first forum on Wednesday, September 27 in the Select Board Hearing Room on the 6th floor of Town Hall. Refreshments at 6:30 pm, event at 7:00.
Michael Ward and Anthony Wilson of the UMass-Boston Collins Center will present a brief overview of our current form of government and will walk us through other forms of municipal government and how they operate in comparison to our own.
This event will be broadcast, livestreamed, and recorded by BIG.
Comcast channel 23, RCN channel 15. Livestream found at
